Social Events & Fundraising

There are two ways that Holy Family School generates fundraising dollars for the school, through social events and corporate rebate programs.

Social Events

The Reverse Raffle is the largest annual social event of the school year and is sponsored by the Home & School Alliance. Proceeds from the Reverse Raffle alone provide approximately 80% of the funds to meet annual expenses. This themed event is held in the spring and is a great adult night out. It gives the Holy Family parish and school community a chance to dine and mingle at a fun and entertaining event.

Family Fun Night celebrates the culmination of Catholic Schools Week It is sponsored by the Home & School Alliance and affords our students and parents an evening of games, dancing and entertainment.

The Tailgate Party is an annual kickoff party to celebrate evening of Cardinal Mooney Football. The event is filled with fun, food and games for everyone. The highlight of the evening is the introduction of the Holy Family School football players and cheerleaders, followed by a performance by the Cardinal Mooney cheerleaders and band.

Corporate Sponsored Rebates

Holy Family School participates in the following corporate sponsored rebate fundraisers. These programs are all non-selling fundraising, are easy to use and benefit the school by providing funds, supplies or equipment for our school.

Holy Family School purchases negotiable gift certificates and prepaid gift cards that are used like cash. Holy Family buys the scrip from Great Lakes Scrip Center at a discount, and re-sells the certificates at face value. The bulk of the discount (from 2-15%) is earned by Holy Family to defray the cost of tuition and other expenses.

Since 1975, Market Day has helped organizations raise more than $460 million for kids and communities. The monthly program offers quality, nutritious and affordable groceries for families like yours. Best of all, unlike most other retail programs, at least 10% of every purchase goes back to Holy Family School.

Giant Eagle Apples for Students

The Apples For The Students program allows you to support Holy Family School simply by shopping at Giant Eagle and using your Giant Eagle Advantage Card. Click on this link to enroll you card or view your account!

General Mills Boxtops for Education
 

The Box Tops for Education program has been helping schools since 1996. Just clip the Box Tops coupons from your favorite General Mills products and turn them into the Box Top Coordinator at school. Holy Family School gets ten cents for every Box Top. All that clipping of box tops has resulted in much-needed funding for school supplies and equipment, thank you.

Campbell Soup Labels for Education
 

For more than 30 years, Labels for Education has been awarding free educational equipment to schools in exchange for proofs of purchase from the Campbell family of brands. Help Holy Family School earn free equipment by simply turning in the labels to the Labels for Education coordinator.

Target Stores Take Charge of Education Program
 

If you have a Target credit card (REDcard) just sign up for the Take Charge of Education program and designate Holy Family School at your school. If you don’t have a card you can click on the link to apply for one. Then Target will donate up to 1% of your REDcard purchases to our school!

Cartridge for Kids

CFK (Cartridges for Kids) is a recycling program that pays schools cash for cell phones, empty laser and inkjet cartridges laptops, iPods, PDA’s, video games & consoles, digital cameras, DVDs and GPS devices.
 

GFS Food Service Fun Funds
 

Fun Funds is a unique, year-round program available exclusively to schools and churches. This program pays quarterly cash rebates to Holy Family School for purchases made at any GFS Marketplace store location.
